In late 2001, after reading a newspaper article about a horrific murder where a young girl was killed and her body stuffed inside a bag, an Egyptian woman named Farah Issa experienced a chilling dream.
That night, as she slept, the murdered girl appeared to her in what she described as a terrifying nightmare. The girl, around nine or ten years old, was almost naked and visibly distressed. She pulled Farah by the shoulder, pointing toward an older woman in her fifties, dressed in a long traditional robe and a dark navy headscarf. "She is the reason," the girl told Farah.
This haunting vision repeated for three consecutive nights.
On the second night, the girl appeared again, showing Farah a house near her mother’s home. She revealed that the woman she pointed to had ordered her murder out of revenge against her mother. The bag used to hide her body, the girl said, belonged to this woman.
By the third night, the dream became even more vivid. The girl guided Farah to the exact location of the house, describing a sandy area in front of it. She pointed to a large man with Upper Egyptian features (Sa'idi) and two teenage boys, one of whom had a noticeable disability in his hand.
Convinced of the accuracy of these visions, Farah shared the information with a friend, who passed it on to the authorities. Investigators followed up on these details and indeed found a pile of yellow sand where a resident had been renovating his apartment floor.
Further investigation led them to a woman fitting Farah’s description: a housemaid whose employer owned the bag where the victim's body was hidden. The man Farah had seen, the doorman of the building, was identified as the main suspect. He had fled after sexually assaulting and murdering the child.
As for the two teenagers, the investigation confirmed they had been assisting the doorman every Thursday with cleaning the building’s staircase. One of them did, in fact, have a hand disability.
The precision of Farah's visions stunned the investigators. Thanks to her information, the murderers were eventually caught.
The Egyptian magazine Akhir Sa'a covered this extraordinary case, and Farah was later interviewed by journalist Tarek Allam in an episode of his show "The Life We Don't Know."
The Teresa Murder Case
In another instance, Farah was approached by a friend asking for help in solving the murder of a young woman named Teresa, aged 22, who was killed in the Cairo district of Shubra just three days before her wedding. Farah requested a photo of Teresa. Using a crystal for focus, she claimed to have visualized the killer’s face and even saw that he had injured himself above the knee during the murder.
Farah provided a detailed description of the suspect to the investigators. They identified him, noting that he had a limp from the injury she had described. Under interrogation, he confessed to the crime.
Spiritual Communication Ability
Farah describes the information she receives through her dreams and visions as a form of "Spiritual Communication." Speaking about her abilities, she says:
"I possess a special gift granted by God,the sixth sense. Since childhood, my family noticed my abilities, often saying that the veil was lifted from me. I would predict events before they happened or dream of situations that would later come true. My mother, paternal grandfather, and grandmother had similar abilities, so genetics might have played a role, enhancing these gifts. Sometimes my visions are personal, other times they involve distant places or public events."
Farah claims to have predicted major events, including the fall of Egypt’s former president Hosni Mubarak and his son Gamal, saying in 2010 that they would disappear from the political scene in 2011, foreseeing much bloodshed.
In recognition of her unusual foresight, the Egyptian newspaper Al-Akhbar included three articles about her visions in their centennial special publication titled "Wonders and Oddities."
