Devil's Villa in Las Vegas

Palazzo Palace - Is it haunted by demonic spirit ?
by Kamal Ghazal

In Las Vegas, there’s a massive villa locally known as Palazzo Palace “Palazza Mansion”, located at 1700 Bannie Avenue. But most people call it by a darker name: “The Devil’s Villa.” For years, chilling stories have circulated about this grand mansion, once dreamed of as the perfect home, but one that has turned into a nightmare for anyone who’s lived there.

Almost every owner who’s bought the property has ended up selling it quickly—and at a steep loss. According to consistent reports from previous residents, the reason is a sinister force haunting the mansion and its shadows.

A violent and mysterious past

Originally, the villa was owned by people with ties to the mafia, which had a strong presence in Las Vegas during the 1970s and 80s. Local reports suggest the villa was used for settling scores, torturing rivals, and even hiding or disposing of bodies.

Many believe the house absorbed the dark energy of the violent acts that took place within its walls. Surprisingly, later owners described experiences that went far beyond the typical tales of “noisy ghosts”—to the point that some believed the devil himself, or a powerful demonic entity, had taken up residence.

The appearance of a menacing, sword-wielding figure

One former owner described an experience that sounded straight out of a movie. According to his official statement: “It was an evil entity wielding a sword... The moment I noticed it, I felt two cold hands tighten around my neck. I was almost completely choked before my friend managed to drag me out of the room.”

Encounters like this—being strangled or sensing something grabbing your neck—are commonly reported in folklore and religious traditions as signs of demonic presence.

Whispers and sexual moans

Women weren’t spared from odd experiences. One female owner, who lived there alone, said she often heard whispered, sexually suggestive voices right by her ear, usually while taking a shower. She also described feeling cold touches on her neck and back.

Reports like these have surfaced in many cultures and are often associated with so-called “lover jinn” or the incubus/succubus entity (Incubus / Succubus)which, according to legend, feeds on people’s emotional and sexual energy.

Secret rooms and stubborn bloodstains

During one renovation, workers discovered hidden rooms behind the walls—some barely large enough to hide a person. In a bedroom and adjoining bathroom, large bloodstains appeared on the walls and floor as soon as the old paint was stripped. Despite repeated efforts to clean and cover them, the stains kept reappearing, fueling rumors that a horrific murder had taken place.

The mysterious fire of 2009

The last owner left the villa in 2009 after a streak of bizarre events: recurring nightmares about a tall, shadowy figure, phantom footsteps in the halls, shadowy movements throughout the house, constant electrical failures—and then, the unexplainable. A fire suddenly broke out in part of the mansion, destroying much of the upper floor. The wiring was new, and no cause was ever found. The villa took on an even more eerie appearance and has remained abandoned ever since, with no buyers—despite being listed for a bargain.

Is the villa truly haunted?

There are two main theories about what’s happening here:

1 - The spiritual/paranormal theory

- Violent acts leave behind what researchers call residual energy Residual Haunting

- The possibility of a demonic entity connected to dark rituals performed inside the house

- Whispered voices and the sword-wielding apparition match descriptions of lower spirits in many religious and pagan traditions.

2 - The psychological/scientific explanation

- Abandoned houses with notorious histories naturally fuel people’s fear and expectations

- Bloodstains might result from organic material reacting with moisture

- Whispers could be sound echoes or “white noise” effects

- Strangling sensations might come from panic or sudden respiratory issues

What’s troubling is that all former owners gave nearly identical accounts, even though they lived there at different times and didn’t know each other.

The echo of evil remains

Palazzo Villa is more than just an old mansion—it’s a story of nightmares, hidden rooms, cursed dreams, and a presence determined not to let anyone stay. Since 2009, the mansion has remained empty, as if the curse itself is keeping people away.

So the question remains: Are we dealing with a dark energy born from past crimes, or is there truly a presence that has made this mansion its home?
